Privacy & our no-data-selling pledge
Here's the short version: we don't want your personal information, so we don't collect it. There's no sign-up, no account to create, and no phone number to give us. The only boxes to fill in are the ones in our two calculators, and what you type there stays on your own device — it is never sent to us.

What we don't collect
Most websites for people your age exist to capture a name and a phone number and pass it to a call center. BenefitDial was built to be the opposite of that. We do not collect:
- Your name. There's nowhere to enter it.
- Your address. We don't ask where you live. When you pick a state or county in the Medicare tool, that choice is used only to look up public plan data in your browser — it isn't tied to you.
- Your email. There's no sign-up, no newsletter, and no "enter your email to see results."
- Your phone number. Ever. There is no "talk to a licensed agent," no callback request, and no one will call you because you visited this site.
- Any account or login. There are no passwords because there are no accounts.
The calculators run entirely in your browser
When you type your Social Security benefit into the COLA calculator or choose your plan in the What Changed tool, the math happens on your own device. Those numbers are never sent to us, never stored on a server, and never used for advertising. Close the tab and they're gone.
What is collected automatically
We want to be honest and complete, so here is the small amount of information that is gathered when anyone visits a modern website like this one.
We don't run analytics
Most websites load an analytics script that counts visitors and follows what they click. We don't. There is no analytics service, no tracking pixel, and no visitor-counting script anywhere on this site. Nothing here watches what you do.
What does happen is the same thing that happens on every website: the computer that sends you the page — our web host — keeps a short technical log of the request, which includes your internet address and which browser you used. That log is how any web server works and how it stays secure. We don't build it into a profile, we don't tie it to you, and we don't sell it. If we ever do add a visitor counter, we'll say so on this page first.
Our display-ad provider
BenefitDial is free and is designed to be supported only by programmatic display ads — the banner and box ads that will appear on the page. We have not switched on an ad network yet, so there are no ads running here today. When we do, those ads will be served by a third-party advertising network (for example, an ad partner such as Google AdSense, Mediavine, or Raptive). To show ads and measure whether they worked, that network may set its own cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. That is standard across the web, and we're telling you plainly because you deserve to know.

We don't control the ad network's own privacy practices, but we chose the display-ad model specifically because it doesn't require us to know who you are. We are paid when ads are shown — not when your information is collected or sold.
What we will never do
This is the heart of our pledge. BenefitDial is not a broker, an agent, or a marketing company. We take no commissions from insurance carriers, we capture no personal information, and we sell nothing but ad space. So we will never:
- Sell or share your personal data. We don't have your name, email, or phone number to sell in the first place — and we've built the site that way on purpose.
- Generate or sell sales leads. You are a reader, not a lead. There is no list, and nothing about you is packaged and sold.
- Hand your information to a call center or an insurance broker. No one is standing by. When you're ready to enroll, you go straight to the official Medicare Plan Finder or call 1-800-MEDICARE. We never recommend a specific plan for payment.
Our promise in one line
We will make money from ads on the page, never from you or your information. That's the whole business model — and it's why we can put your interests first.
Cookies and what's stored in your browser
A cookie is a small file a website can store in your browser. BenefitDial sets no cookies of its own. Any cookies our ad network may set are described above. You can delete cookies or block them at any time in your browser's settings — the tools on this site will still work, because they don't depend on cookies to do their math.
There is one thing we do save on your device. If you use the Text size buttons at the top of the page, your choice is stored in your browser under the name bc-textsize, so the pages stay easy to read on your next visit. It holds nothing but that setting — no identifier, no history — it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Children
BenefitDial is intended for adults, primarily people approaching or already in retirement. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your choices
You have simple, practical control over your privacy here:
- Do Not Track. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, that's fine — we don't build advertising profiles of you regardless.
- Ad personalization. Use the ad-control links in the section above to limit how personalized the ads you see are.
- Cookies and stored settings. Clear or block cookies, and clear stored site data, from your browser menu whenever you like. That also clears the saved
bc-textsizetext-size setting. - Just leave. Because we never collected your name or contact details, there's nothing you need to "delete" or "unsubscribe" from. There's no account to close.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the site works in a way that affects your privacy, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. What will not change is the core promise: we don't collect your personal information, and we don't sell it.

Frequently asked questions
Do you store the benefit amount I type into the calculator?
No. The entire calculation runs inside your web browser. There's no server that receives your benefit amount, and we never use it for advertising or connect it to you. See the COLA calculator to try it.
Will visiting this site lead to sales calls or junk mail?
No. We don't collect your phone number, address, or email, and we don't hand anything to a call center or broker. Nothing about your visit turns into a call or a piece of mail.
How does a free site pay its bills, then?
Programmatic display ads — the banner and box ads that will appear on the page. We haven't switched on an ad network yet, so there are no ads running today; display advertising is the only way we will ever fund the site.
